About John

I’m John Graham, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults online across the UK and internationally, and I also offer clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists.

My approach

I believe that beneath anxiety, self-criticism, emotional overwhelm, or avoidance, there is always something meaningful trying to be understood. Much of our distress develops not because we are broken, but because we learned ways of coping that once helped us survive.

Therapy offers a space to slow down, feel supported, and gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface. Together, we work toward greater clarity, self-compassion, and healthier ways of relating to yourself and others.

How I work

My work is integrative and relational, meaning I draw on different therapeutic approaches depending on what best supports you. This includes Internal Family Systems (IFS), relational and attachment-based therapy, mindfulness, and — where appropriate — clinical hypnotherapy.

The pace of therapy is guided by you. Some people come with something specific they want to explore, while others need space to understand what they’re feeling. Both are welcome.
