A different way to begin

Starting therapy can feel daunting. You may not know what to say, where to begin, or even what you need yet — and that’s completely okay.

Instead of long forms or clinical processes, I offer a gentle, guided way to begin, helping you move naturally into a real conversation with me.

Just a few simple steps to reflect, share what’s important, and choose how you’d like to make contact — calmly and at your own pace.

What I can support you with

Anxiety & overwhelm

Persistent worry, panic, stress, or feeling constantly on edge.

Self-esteem & self-criticism

Feeling “not enough”, harsh self-talk, shame, or low confidence.

Trauma & past experiences

Difficult or painful experiences that still affect you emotionally or physically.

Relationships & attachment

Patterns in relationships, fear of closeness or abandonment, communication difficulties.

Burnout & emotional exhaustion

Feeling depleted, numb, disconnected, or struggling to keep going.

Feeling lost or disconnected

Uncertainty about identity, direction, or sense of purpose.

If what you’re experiencing doesn’t fit neatly into a category, that’s okay. Therapy is a place to explore it together.

How I work

I currently offer online counselling and psychotherapy for adults, available Monday to Friday.

Working online allows you to receive support from the comfort and privacy of your own space, wherever you are in the UK or internationally.

Online therapy can be just as effective as in-person work for many people, and often feels more accessible and grounding.

About John

I’m John Graham, an integrative counsellor and psychotherapist, accredited and registered with the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP). I work with adults online across the UK and internationally, and I also provide clinical supervision for counsellors and therapists.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and compassionate. Many people come to therapy feeling anxious, overwhelmed, self-critical, or disconnected. Together, we gently explore what’s happening beneath the surface and develop healthier ways of relating to yourself and to life.

Fees

Online therapy sessions are £55 per session.

Concessions of £25 are available for those on low income or who are unemployed.

Sessions are available Monday to Friday. We can discuss availability and pace once we’ve made contact.

You don’t have to face this alone

Reaching out can feel like a big step, especially if you’re feeling overwhelmed, uncertain, or unsure where to begin. You’re welcome to take things at your own pace. Everything starts with a simple, human conversation.
